About

Built by Novus Stream Solutions for AI-heavy builders.

AI Stats is for people whose work now spans many assistants and coding agents, and who want a truthful view of that history.

Product principle

Make AI usage visible without turning private conversations into a surveillance product.

Initial audience

Solo developers, creators, students, indie hackers, technical founders, and curious power users.

Positioning

Spotify Wrapped meets Strava for AI usage, grounded in transparent provenance rather than exaggerated productivity claims.

Provider independence

AI Stats is independent and is not endorsed by the AI providers it can import from.

Why this product exists

Someone who used a single assistant two years ago now moves between a chat window, a terminal agent, an editor agent, and whatever their team standardized on this quarter. Each tool keeps its own history, in its own format, and none of them can see the others. So the largest recent change in how people work has almost no record. There is no honest answer to how many hours went into AI-assisted work last month, which projects absorbed them, or whether the tool that felt fastest actually was.

AI Stats reconstructs that record from data you already own. Every supported provider either publishes an account export or writes local session logs, and those files carry enough structure to rebuild a timeline. The difficult part is parsing seven different shapes correctly, refusing to guess when a format does not carry a value, and doing all of it without collecting the conversations themselves.

How the product is built

AI Stats is a hosted progressive web app. During an import a browser worker reads only provider-allowlisted files and produces normalized statistics. Prompts, responses, attachments, file contents, local paths, and readable repository names are discarded before upload.

Every number carries a provenance label, so a chart never presents an estimate as a measurement. A value is exact, source reported, derived, estimated, or unavailable. When an export omits token counts, the token panel says unavailable instead of showing a confident zero.

What is deliberately out of scope

Some of the most requested features are ones this product will not ship, because they would undermine the reason to trust it.

  • Background folder watching. The app cannot see a file until you pick it, and there is no daemon or agent installed on your machine.
  • Selling or training on your history. Imported statistics belong to your account. They are not sold, syndicated, or used as model training data.
  • Provider endorsement. AI Stats is independent. The assistants it imports from have not reviewed, approved, or sponsored it, and their names and marks belong to them.
  • Feature paywalls. There is no paid tier withholding a metric that the importer already produced.
